The Opportunity
As a member of the Services Planning team you will:
- support the prioritisation of infrastructure projects to support population growth including the expansion of existing schools and new schools
- work within a dedicated project team to facilitate the core deliverables required in the planning phase of a major infrastructure project
- prepare correspondence, reports, and briefings for senior internal and external stakeholders and governance bodies
- undertake detailed analysis of school and population growth trends and communicate outcomes from this analysis
- contribute to the development of business cases to support major infrastructure investments over the short, medium and long term
Achieving Success
To be successful as a Senior Planning Officer, you will possess:
- a good understanding of town planning and/or infrastructure planning concepts and/or project management strategies and the ability to apply this knowledge to support team objectives.
- demonstrated ability to work well in a high performing team and establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- demonstrated ability to communicate complex information to a range of different stakeholders as required.
- ability to manage competing priorities and objectives within tight timeframes.
