We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Mathematics teacher to join our school community teaching a combination of General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, and Specialist Mathematics.

In this role, you will be expected to: 
  • Support the liturgical and prayer life of the school
  • Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learner centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents, and practices
  • Collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy
  • Work with the leadership team, teachers, and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school

To be successful for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate how you meet the following: 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian Curriculum Mathematics, QCE and senior Mathematics syllabuses
  • Ability to work in partnership with colleagues, students, and parents/carers
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Attend in detail to innovative and creative practices
  • Ability to identify and cater for different learning styles
  • Ability to integrate digital technology into a contemporary learning environment
  • Ability to contribute to the school community through involvement in Co-curricular activitie
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.

To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Teaching Senior Mathematics as well as:
  • Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
  • Commitment to child safety
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.

At BCE our teachers are required to:
  • Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.
