Your Role

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • The provision of leadership, guidance and advice to regions and schools on various injury management aspects that include WorkCover claims management, investigations, OIR reviews, QSuper claims management, Absence Management, Rehabilitation, Medical Deployment, Reasonable Adjustment, Independent Medical Assessments.
  • Identification and implementation of injury management strategies to improve, health, safety and wellbeing performance.
  • Provision of injury management case management services to selected employees in line with departmental priorities.
  • Monitoring injury management data for regional offices and schools to identify trends and develop reports to inform departmental and regional offices management of issues to address and improve on performance.
  • Establishment of a framework to coordinate the coaching of school-based Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinators.
  • Being a strong critical thinker, with experience and knowledge of injury management aspects.
  • Embracing change and leading with focus and optimism in an environment that is complex and ambiguous
  • Making considered, ethical decisions based on insight in the broader context.
  • Building and sustaining relationships to enable collaborative delivery of customer focused services.
  • Fostering an inclusive workplace, strong communicator, great time management while maintaining a high standard of practice through governance.
