Your Opportunity:

As the Senior Infrastructure Support Officer, you will provide operational information and advice and support to various areas of the department relating to the delivery of improved infrastructure solutions for Queensland's State Schools.

You will utilise your excellent organisational and communication skills to support the team across a broad range of programs and projects being delivered throughout Queensland.

The Senior Infrastructure Support Officer reports to the Manager, Programs Delivery, Portfolio Delivery.

Your Role:

As the Senior Infrastructure Support Officer, you will have responsibility for (but not limited to) the following:

  • Participate in, and undertake designated project, organisational change and business improvement activities across a broad range of infrastructure, planning and asset management strategies to deliver tailored infrastructure solutions for the department.
  • Assist in the preparation of project information, reports, submissions, briefing materials, correspondence and branch specific support documents and templates.
  • Provide operational information and advice on infrastructure, planning and asset management issues, projects and programs to colleagues, internal and external clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other teams across the Branch and Corporate Services Division to provide holistic support services and promote effective use of departmental facilities and resources delivered within budget and to expected departmental service standards.

About You:

  • Ability to analyse issues, establish a course of action, adopt a proactive and solution-focussed approach and work with minimum direction.
  • Sound interpersonal and negotiation skills, including a capacity to resolve issues and manage relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders in specific or inflexible timeframes.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a team, including the ability to establish work priorities and meet pre-determined deadlines and commitments.
  • Ability to use effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to liaise and consult with internal and external clients, and maintain effective working relationships in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to undertake a range of project related activities to support the successful development and initiation of key initiatives relevant to the work unit.

When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
