The team manages the planning and delivery of maintenance and related programs for schools, early childhood education and care centres and staff housing. We are committed to continuous improvement through the various maintenance related functions and also support ongoing professional development of team members, which will ultimately enable us to provide an optimal service to our clients.
About the Role
As the Senior Infrastructure Services Officer, you will have responsibility for, but not limited to, the following:
- Supporting the planning and delivery of one or more of the department's maintenance programs.
- Monitoring, analysing, and evaluating maintenance programs to identify improvements and making recommendations to ensure the quality of maintenance program outcomes are retained.
- Developing and sustaining productive working relationships with key stakeholder groups, including regional infrastructure teams, schools, and QBuild - Department of Housing and Public Works, the major maintenance service provider.
- Providing recommendations to support management with the planning and implementation of strategic asset maintenance related activities.
- Contributing to Ministerial, Parliamentary and corporate correspondence and reporting on the progress of maintenance programs.
- Analysing data to identify key risks, opportunities, strengths and developing suitable strategies which have the most favourable impact on internal an external stakeholder requirements.
- Providing advice and guidance to other team members to help expand the knowledge base and skillset of the Maintenance and Improvement Unit.
- Contributing to a positive team culture, which emphasises learning and development, innovation, engagement and quality outcomes.
