About the Role:
The Senior Guidance Officer plays a key role in the region's delivery of regional guidance services. The role is line managed by Deputy Principal, Inclusion.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Coordinate, deliver, and oversee professional development, training, induction, and supervision programs related to guidance and counselling practice for Guidance Officers.
- Provide and coordinate direct guidance and counselling services to students, in consultation with Principals and school-based guidance staff.
- Work collaboratively with Principals and Guidance Officers to ensure the effective, appropriate, and consistent delivery of guidance and counselling services across schools.
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems of technical and clinical supervision to support best practice in psychoeducational assessment, personal, career and course counselling, and behaviour management interventions.
- Participate in regional SCAN teams as required and establish, maintain, and promote effective multi-agency and multidisciplinary networks to support holistic responses to complex educational, personal, and vocational needs within schools and the wider community.
