An exciting opportunity awaits with the Curriculum Services team for two Senior Education Officers to contribute to the Consent and Respectful Relationships Education (CRRE) project. This priority capability initiative aims to enhance the wellbeing of Queensland state school students through expert-developed, evidence-based, age-appropriate education on consent and respectful relationships.

We are seeking middle leaders and teachers with expertise in health and physical education, skilled in creating digital resources and with a passion for delivering positive and evidence-based resources to make a meaningful impact on education and student wellbeing specifically related to delivery of respectful relationships education (RRE) capability under a nationally funded project.

The role of Senior Education Officer - Special Duties reports to the Manager of Curriculum Services and is based at the Coorparoo Education Precinct. 

About the role

The successful applicant will:

  • Have experience and knowledge in delivering programs aligned to the Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education, with a focus on Respectful Relationships education and child safety programs.
  • Participate in and coordinate a range of projects to develop implementation strategies, and timelines.
  • Develop resources and programs that support high quality practice and partnerships to deliver best outcomes.
  • Research, analyse, interpret and develop options and recommendations both autonomously, and as part of a team.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and work in collaboration with them to provide high quality advice within agreed state wide frameworks and processes.
  • Demonstrate a high level of commitment to developing performance and knowledge of teaching, learning and school improvement.
