About the Role:
Responsibilities include:
Exploring and translating contemporary research and practices that support leadership of digital teaching and learning across the school, and the enhancement of teacher capability and confidence in:
- Digitally enabled and enhanced pedagogies
- Digital tools, resources and environments
- Digital literacies, decisions and behaviours
Developing and delivering a suite of professional learning resources and capability programs and activities including:
- Developing resources to expand the Digital Learning Hub
- Developing on-demand learning content as part of the Digital Capability Suite
- Producing and facilitating in-person and online workshops, masterclasses, training programs and communities of practice
- Enhancing guidance materials that support the use of Generative AI in schools along with other key and emerging priorities
- Identifying and enabling innovative future-focused learning solutions to address challenges to teaching and learning practices for a range of teacher, leader and school contexts.
Please note that this is an Education Officer - Special Duties (EOSD) position. Therefore, you must be a permanent employee of the Department of Education to be eligible to apply. These positions are offered on a temporary full-time basis until 12 December
2025 unless otherwise determined

Mandatory Requirements:
- You must be a permanent employee of the department with a substantive teaching or classified officer role employed under Teaching in State Education Award – State 2016, have current full registration as a teacher and should be aware that temporary internal moves for the purposes of the department's payroll processes are referred to as internal secondments.
- Employees' engaged temporarily as Education Officer - Special Duties have a requirement of 36¼ hours per week attendance and arrangements as outlined in clause 5.12 of the Department of Education State School Teachers' Certified Agreement 2022
- When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
