Join us in making a significant impact on Senior Secondary Education by driving strategic initiatives and fostering collaborative partnerships for BCE schools and communities.

We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Senior Education Advisor to join our team, focusing on Senior Secondary Education (Yrs.10-12). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing targeted professional advice, learning, and resources development, strategic planning, and collaborative work within multi-disciplinary teams to enhance educational outcomes. This role requires an expert in Secondary Senior Years Education (Yrs 10-12) who can drive initiatives, influence leadership decisions, and build capacity across our schools.


About the role:

  • Strategic Advice: Provide expert advice and lead projects to develop policy, influence organisational practices, and inform leadership decision-making to achieve operational outcomes in Senior Secondary Years Education across Years 10-12 with an understanding of the QCAA Senior Syllabus.
  • Careers Education and Development: Demonstrate strong competency in careers education by guiding and supporting our team in developing innovative career pathways and educational programs, ultimately empowering students to achieve their professional goals.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver strategic directions for BCE schools, supporting sustainable practices and effective pedagogical principles.
  • Data-Driven Analysis: Analyse data to challenge perspectives on complex issues, delivering outcomes and making recommendations at system, whole school, and year/band levels in Senior Years Education.
  • Organisational Improvement: Develop strategies for organisational performance improvement through high-level reviews, contributing to the Education Strategy, School Improvement process, and curriculum compliance requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain internal and external relationships to advocate and share professional knowledge, working in partnership with school-based role holders, leadership teams, and BCEO staff across Secondary Education.


About you: To be successful in this role you will demonstrate

  • Relevant Degree qualifications in Education.
  • QCT registration.
  • Experience in leading educational initiatives and projects with a focus on Senior Secondary Years
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in QCAA Senior Syllabus policy and procedures
  • Ability to build capacity of others, and provide specialised advice in the area of Senior Secondary Education within a school context.
  • Extensive experience and competence in the field of Secondary Education.
  • Possess exceptional data analysis and problems solving skills.
  • Communicate clearly to drive initiatives.
  • Experience in Careers Education
  • Effective communication skills
