Responsibilities Include:
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the health, performance, and security of our SQL Server databases.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Addressing issues related to database availability and data integrity, and actively monitoring database performance.
- Ability to utilise your strong diagnostic skills to troubleshoot performance challenges.
- Manage user permissions for security, implement upgrades and patches, and optimise SQL queries and database structures for maximum efficiency.
- Collaboration with development teams to support application deployment is essential, along with participation in capacity planning and data migration efforts.
- In addition to DBA duties, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing business intelligence solutions by developing, maintaining, and optimising complex stored procedures, views, and functions.
- You will work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions using SSRS and Power BI.
- The role also involves performing ETL processes using T-SQL, SSIS and ensuring data quality and consistency across the data warehouse and data marts.
