Your Role:

Take the lead in a dynamic and impactful role based in Brisbane as a Senior Corporate Services Officer, where your expertise in financial management, governance, and administration will drive the success of a high-performing team. You'll be at the heart of critical operations, this is your chance to shape processes, provide strategic advice and build influential relationships.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Strategic Workforce Policy and Industrial Relations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administer effective governance processes and management practices, including financial, human resource, asset and budget management across the office of the Executive Director, Strategic Workforce Policy and Industrial Relations.
  • Provide support and continually monitor and review systems and information, providing recommendations for effective strategies to manage and improve corporate governance functions and processes within the OED SWPIR.
  • Coordinate and manage the flow of briefs, submissions, reports and other material throughout the Office of the Executive Director, Strategic Workforce Policy and Industrial Relations to ensure the efficient and timely preparation of departmental briefs and correspondence responses.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships and network with clients and officers within the department to ensure a culture of service delivery and achievement of negotiated guidelines.

About You:

  • Proven experience in financial management, governance, and administrative processes, ideally within the public sector.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret policies, procedures and legislation and provide expert advice.
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities to handle competing priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to building and maintaining productive relationships.
