Your Role:

The Senior Complaints and Risk Advisor role is a rewarding role where you can be challenged and supported in an inclusive team environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Engagement with stakeholders to build trusted partnerships across Queensland through the provision of employee relations support, advice and capability.
  • Delivery of high quality, timely and fair services and professional advice on complaints involving employee misconduct, performance, risk and safety.
  • Assessment of sensitive, confidential and potentially distressing information and complaints to formulate and action agreed plans regarding integrity matters.
  • Making informed and evidence-based recommendations and decisions within delegated authority in accordance with regulated reporting and other obligations.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing to a professional standard based on sound judgement and evidence-based decision making.
  • Contribute across intake and triage, complaint assessments, completion of activities related to Public Interest Disclosures and Human Rights, case management, record keeping and closure of matters.
  • Engage positively with change and contribute to the development and review of operational and strategic policy and practice relevant to workplace behaviours, investigations and disciplinary matters.
  • Manage and maintain data and other information in accordance with record keeping requirements.

    • Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.

Additional Information:

This role involves exposure to detailed and sensitive content that may be distressing. Materials include child sexual abuse allegations and other workplace behaviour complaints involving conduct including children and adults. Review of potentially distressing information and allegations of misconduct is a regular part of the role.
