About the role:

As the Senior Advisor, Occupational Therapy, you will:

  • Provide strategic advice on policy development and implementation and needs-based resourcing related to occupational therapy services within the region.
  • Provide leadership and professional supervision at a regional level in the delivery of safe, high-quality effective occupational therapy services.
  • Significantly contribute to the development of state-wide programs, policies, operational standards and procedures to support occupational therapy services across the state.

Responsibilities include:

  • Undertake the supervision and professional development planning for the occupational therapy team in NQR.
  • Advise on matters relating to the delivery of occupational therapy services in MSR and state-wide
  • Collaborate with regional and state-wide clinical supervisors, including attending regional and state-wide TANS and senior advisor meetings.
  • Support regional and state-wide recruitment processes
  • Participate in regional and state-wide research and project work.

  • Advocacy skills informed by policy and data
  • Skills to lead and collaborate virtually with regional and school contacts
  • Ability to travel overnight if required
  • Located in NQR, or have the skills to lead and collaborate virtually from another region.
