About the Role

Veritas Education is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in a welcoming primary school based in Preston. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with identified SEND needs
  • Adapt learning materials to suit individual requirements
  • Support the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging activities
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Monitor the pupil's progress and provide feedback to staff and parents
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment

    • The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children with SEND (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language needs)
  • A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
  • A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
