Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with additional needs? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEND Teacher to join a small, mixed independent specialist school in Stockton-on-Tees. The school supports pupils aged 5-18 years with a diverse range of needs, including SEMH, ADHD, and ASD, and prides itself on creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every learner can thrive.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to meet the needs of learners with SEND.
  • Create engaging, personalised learning plans that support academic and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic care.
  • Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes emotional wellbeing.

    • The Ideal Candidate

  • A confident and adaptable practitioner with experience in SEND settings.
  • Strong understanding of strategies for supporting SEMH, ADHD, and ASD.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
