Location: Harrogate Salary: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience) Contract: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available

We're currently looking for a caring, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Harrogate. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, providing tailored support both in and outside the classroom. Every day is different, and you'll play a key role in helping students build confidence, develop independence and engage positively with their learning.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities
  • Encouraging social, emotional and academic development
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • Supporting behaviour management strategies where required

    • We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential
  • A patient, empathetic and supportive approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
  • The ability to remain calm, positive and adaptable
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare or support work are advantageous
