    We are working with a truly exceptional all-through specialist school in Sunderland, catering for learners aged 4-19, who are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team.

The school offers bespoke learning programmes tailored to the needs of each individual learner, with the curriculum thoughtfully structured across distinct pathways to ensure every pupil can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

    As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH and complex learning difficulties
  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored learning and support plans
  • Provide both 1:1 and small group support
  • Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support their development

  • Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work or similar)
  • A patient, empathetic and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for SEN and inclusive education
