What's the job?

We're looking for a caring, reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to support young people (16+) with additional needs in an SEN setting in Ormskirk.

You'll help students feel supported, stay engaged, and build confidence in a calm, structured environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups
  • Helping with classwork + life skills
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and routine
  • Managing behaviour using calm, supportive techniques
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff
  • Adapting tasks to suit different learning needs

    • You'd be a good fit if you:

  • Have experience with young people (SEN is a bonus, not essential)
  • Are patient, calm, and understanding
  • Can stay positive, even in challenging situations
  • Work well in a team
  • Genuinely want to make a difference

    • Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check
  • 10-year work/education history (with any gaps explained)
  • Happy to attend a short registration interview
