SEN Teaching Assistant South East London Start: Next Term Pay: £100-£118 per day
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH through school in South East London, supporting pupils across both Primary and Secondary phases. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people with additional needs, social‑emotional challenges and behavioural barriers to learning.
About the Role: * Support pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small‑group basis * Assist with emotional regulation, engagement and behaviour support * Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils * Use de‑escalation strategies and proactive behaviour management * Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams and external professionals * Promote a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment
Requirements: * Experience working with children with additional needs or challenging behaviour (education, youth work, care, PRU or similar settings) * Strong behaviour management and resilience * Calm, empathetic and supportive approach * Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people * Ability to commit full‑time from next term
