SEN Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Secondary (Part-Time or Full-Time) Bradford Veritas Education

Veritas Education are working in partnership with a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in the Bradford area who are looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant. This role is available on either a part-time or full-time basis and is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs within a secondary setting.

The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with a range of additional needs (including SEMH, ASD, ADHD and learning needs).
  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lesson content and supporting learning.
  • Help with behaviour management and ensure students remain fully engaged in lessons.
  • Support with the development of social and emotional skills.
  • Contribute to EHCP targets and work closely with the SENCO and wider pastoral team.

  • Experience working with SEN students (school-based or transferable experience).
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Someone reliable, committed and confident working in a busy school environment.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
