Veritas Education is delighted to be recruiting an enthusiastic and caring SEN Teaching Assistant for a friendly and inclusive 2 form entry primary school located in Islington. This role involves a mix of 1:1 support and in-class SEN support, working with pupils across all key stages.

The Role:

  • Providing 1:1 support for pupils with identified Special Educational Needs
  • Supporting pupils within the classroom alongside the class teacher
  • Assisting children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning needs
  • Helping to implement individual education plans and tailored learning strategies
  • Encouraging pupil engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
  • Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff

    • The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (essential)
  • A calm, patient, and flexible approach to learning support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant SEN qualifications or training (preferred but not essential)
