SEN Teaching Assistant - Full Time (Worksop)
Veritas Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role at a school in Worksop. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with both the teacher and pupils, providing tailored support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and challenging behaviour.
The Role:
Provide direct support to a small class of 6-10 pupils, assisting the teacher in delivering personalised lessons.Collaborate with the class teacher to create and implement engaging, individualised learning activities.Offer 1:1 and small group support, adjusting teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student.Support pupils in developing essential social, emotional, and communication skills to aid their personal development.Track students' progress and report feedback to the teacher, contributing to effective planning and assessment.Assist with managing classroom behaviour, ensuring a calm and safe learning environment for all students.Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in an educational setting.Strong understanding of SEN and a variety of techniques for managing behaviour and supporting diverse needs.Patient, calm, and able to communicate effectively with both students and colleagues.Skilled in managing challenging behaviour using proven strategies.Able to recognise and respond sensitively to students' emotional and physical needs.Must be able to commute to Worksop and work collaboratively with the school team.Application Requirements:
