Year 3 Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, SEN One-to-One Support)
Location: MORECAMBE
Salary: £14.20 per hour
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: Immediately
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Year 3 pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and behavioural challenges. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a child's educational journey, working as part of a supportive and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored one-to-one support for a pupil with SEN and behavioural needs, ensuring they are fully engaged in learning activities.Assist the class teacher in delivering the curriculum and adapting materials to meet the pupil's individual needs.Implement effective behaviour management strategies, promoting positive behaviour and emotional development.Support the development of social skills and encourage active participation in classroom and school activities.Maintain clear communication with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents/guardians regarding the pupil's progress.Keep detailed records of the pupil's learning, development, and behaviour.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with children with SEN and behavioural needs (desirable but not essential).Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent).Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and a patient, empathetic approach.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
