Teaching Assistant (TA / LSA) - Secondary School, Kent Medway

Position: Full-Time
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team at a secondary school in the Kent Medway area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting students and helping them succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide classroom support to students, assisting with the delivery of lessons across various subjectsOffer 1:1 support for students with additional needs (SEN) and help them access the curriculumSupport students with their academic development, including assisting with homework, classwork, and exam preparationFoster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environmentHelp manage classroom behaviour, ensuring all students are supported and encouraged to participateWork closely with teachers and other staff to monitor and support student progress
Essential Skills and Experience:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in a secondary school settingStrong understanding of secondary school curriculum and classroom dynamicsA good sense of humour and the ability to build rapport with studentsIntelligent, engaging, and able to adapt support to meet the individual needs of studentsPatience, empathy, and a positive, proactive approach to supporting studentsExcellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a teamA passion for education and helping students achieve their full potential
