We are seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join our supportive and dynamic team at a specialist SEN school in Greenwich. This role offers the chance to teach small class sizes, supported by at least one Teaching Assistant, in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Start dates are immediate, with long-term or permanent placements available.

What We're Looking For

  • Essential Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Applicants with QTLS or a PGCE may also be considered.
  • Applications without these qualifications will not be considered.
  • Desirable Experience:
  • Previous work with SEN and SEMH children.
  • A genuine passion for supporting SEN students.
  • Candidates must have a clear DBS or be willing to obtain one.
  • Sponsorships are not applicable for this role.
  • Job Roles & Expectations

    As an SEN Teacher, your responsibilities will align with those of a permanent full-time teacher, including:

  • Planning & Marking: Creating and delivering tailored lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEN and SEMH.
  • Classroom Management: Managing small class sizes, supported by at least one dedicated Teaching Assistant.
  • Individualised Support: Developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to address each child's unique learning needs.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with parents, teaching staff, and external professionals to ensure every child receives the best possible support.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Monitoring progress, providing constructive feedback, and adjusting strategies to meet students' evolving needs.
  • Creating a Positive Environment: Fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom where all students can thrive.
