Job Title: SEN Teacher (Ages 4-16) - Full-Time
Location: Knowsley, Liverpool
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Knowsley, Liverpool, supporting pupils aged 4-16 with a range of additional learning needs. This role involves delivering a broad, differentiated curriculum across a variety of subjects, ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across core and foundation subjectsTeach pupils across both primary and secondary age ranges with diverse learning needsDevelop, implement, and review EHCP targets and personalised learning plansCreate a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environmentAssess, monitor, and report on pupil progress and attainmentWork collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionalsSupport pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development through positive relationship-building and effective behaviour strategiesRequirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (essential)Previous experience teaching pupils with Special Educational NeedsStrong understanding of a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech, language and communication difficultiesAbility to deliver a broad curriculum and adapt teaching to meet individual learning needsExcellent classroom management with a calm, patient, and nurturing approachEnhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain oneBenefits
