SEN Teacher Location: Northolt, London Contract Type: Full-Time Salary: £170 - £200+ per day (D.O.E) Start Date: ASAP

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking to make a real impact? We are seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs Teacher to join a thriving special school in Northolt supporting learners aged 11-19 with complex learning difficulties, communication needs, and social, emotional and developmental challenges.

About the Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will plan, deliver and assess engaging learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of students. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to personalise the curriculum, develop communication and independence skills, and prepare students for successful transitions into adulthood.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching across the curriculum, aligned to individual Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Use assessment for learning to inform planning and track student progress.
  • Develop personalised learning pathways that promote communication, life skills, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that reflects best practice in SEN pedagogy.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals.
  • Contribute to behaviour support, therapeutic interventions, and enrichment activities.
  • What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in special educational needs settings.
  • Strong understanding of a broad and adaptive curriculum for learners with SEN, including ASD and complex needs.
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative, student-centred lessons that develop core and functional skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and behaviour management skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
