Job Title: SEN Teacher (Ages 4-16) - Full-Time Location: Blackburn, Lancashire Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Blackburn, supporting pupils aged 4-16. The role involves delivering a broad, differentiated curriculum across all subjects, tailored to meet a wide range of special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, adapted lessons across core and foundation subjects
Teach pupils across primary and secondary age ranges with varying needs and abilities
Implement and review EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Assess, track, and report pupil progress
Work collaboratively with TAs, SENCOs, and external professionals
Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
Requirements
QTS/QTLS (essential)
Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN
Strong understanding of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties
Ability to deliver across multiple subjects and adapt teaching effectively
Calm, nurturing approach and strong classroom management skills
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
