Veritas Education work with a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality teachers and support staff for long-term, short-term, permanent, and daily supply roles. We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.

We are currently seeking experienced SEN teachers who can teach in SEN schools in South East London and Kent. The appointed teachers will ideally be qualified with QTS, however, we will also consider unqualified teachers with strong teaching experience within SEN.

About the SEN Teacher Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons to students with a variety of special educational needs, ensuring they have the best opportunity to succeed academically and personally. You will work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff to provide a nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities for SEN Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN
  • Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and help build their confidence and independence
  • Work closely with other educators and support staff to create personalized learning plans
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching methods as required
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them updated on student progress
  • About You:

  • Experienced in teaching students with SEN
  • QTS (ideal)
  • A deep understanding of various learning disabilities and effective teaching strategies
  • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting students with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with different SEN provisions, such as ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, or other specific learning needs, is desirable
