SEN Maths Teacher - Specialist Provision

About the Role
An inclusive and well-resourced SEND school is seeking a dedicated SEN Maths Teacher to join their team. The school supports pupils with a range of needs, including autism spectrum conditions, cognition and learning difficulties, and associated behavioural needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to delivering engaging, differentiated Maths lessons that meet the individual needs of every learner.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver adaptive Maths lessons tailored to students' EHCP targetsSupport pupils with varying levels of ability, including those working below age-related expectationsImplement differentiation and personalised learning strategiesManage behaviour in a calm, structured, and supportive mannerWork closely with SENCOs, Teaching Assistants, and therapistsTrack and monitor student progress against individual outcomesRequirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalentExperience working with SEND pupils, particularly autism and learning difficultiesStrong understanding of EHCPs and differentiated teaching approachesConfident delivering Maths across KS2-KS4 (depending on setting)Excellent behaviour management and communication skillsA patient, resilient, and nurturing approachDesirable
Experience in a special school or alternative provisionKnowledge of intervention strategies and therapeutic approachesExperience supporting students with SEMH or complex needsWhat's on Offer
