Primary SEN Learning Support Assistant

Camden

ASAP

£95-£105 per day

We are currently looking for an experienced SEN learning support assistant for a primary school based in the borough of Camden. The role will be full time, long term and will be to start asap. You will be supporting students with learning difficulties on a 1:1 basis and must have experience with autism.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting students who have learning difficulties
  • working proactively to help students achieve their attainment levels
  • encourage students to engage proactively with their learning
  • helping to provide a safe environment for children to learn.
  • assisting the teacher with students general learning and development.

    • You will be:

  • Knowledgeable and experienced in special needs and learning difficulties, particularly ASD
  • A strong communicator, able to build a rapport with young people
  • Patient and empathetic
  • Reliable and committed to the school and students' improvement
  • Enthusiastic and engaging
  • Able to work alongside the teacher and independently
  • Certifications and attendance to training courses for SEN are beneficial, as well as first hand experience with SEN.
