1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistants
Various roles across Leeds, ASAP starts, Full-time/Fixed Term contracts and potential temp to perm
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistants to join our team, working with primary schools to support pupils with Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)
The role will involve providing 1:1 tailored support to children in Early Years to Key Stage 2, working both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to children with additional needs (Autism, ADHD, SEMH)Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and strategiesSupport children with learning and social skills, encouraging independence and positive behaviourManage classroom interventions for children who may be struggling with emotional dysregulationFoster a nurturing yet firm environment, with clear boundaries and expectationsWork with small groups of children to provide additional academic support or behaviour interventionPerson Specification:
Experience or strong interest in working with children with additional needsA nurturing but assertive approach, with the ability to set clear boundariesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamA background in sports, psychology, or a personal interest in working with children with additional needs is highly desirablePrevious experience working in an educational setting or with children with SEN is a plus, but not essentialA passion for supporting children and helping them to achieve their full potentialWhy Join Us?
