SEMH Support AssistantSecondary School, Hammersmith

Start: ASAP Full‑time, long‑term Veritas Education

We're supporting a secondary school in Hammersmith who are looking for an SEMH Support Assistant to join them as soon as possible. The school has a friendly, supportive inclusion team and is looking for someone who can build positive relationships with students and help them stay engaged in lessons.

What the role involves

  • Supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Working 1:1 or with small groups (Interventions)
  • Helping with emotional regulation and behaviour routines
  • Working closely with the SEN and pastoral teams
  • Keeping students focused and encouraging positive choices

    • Who we're looking for

    Someone who is:

  • Patient, calm and confident around young people
  • Able to manage behaviour in a positive, consistent way
  • Experienced with SEMH, PRUs, or challenging behaviour (school or youth work background also welcome)
  • Reliable and ready to start quickly
