Veritas Education are currently recruiting dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across the Kirklees area. We partner with a wide range of schools who require skilled support staff to help raise attainment, improve pupil engagement and contribute to a positive learning environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils in KS3 & KS4 within the classroom, small groups, or 1:1
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management
  • Helping to create an inclusive environment where all pupils can succeed
  • Working with SEND pupils, supporting their individual learning plans
  • Contributing to safeguarding and the well‑being of young people in line with DfE and school policies
  • What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with young people (school-based or transferable)
  • A calm, supportive and professional approach
  • Good communication and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Reliability, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in education
  • Ability to follow safeguarding, behaviour and school policies effectively
  • Desirable (but not essential):

  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience supporting SEND
  • Graduates looking for school-based experience
