The Role: As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students and teachers within the classroom. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and adapting learning materials accordingly.
  • Assisting in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assisting with classroom management and promoting positive behaviour.

    • The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for individuals who are passionate about education and have the following qualities:

  • Experience working in a secondary school environment is desirable.
  • A genuine interest in supporting young people's learning and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is advantageous but not required.
