St Joseph’s College Coomera is delighted to announce the availability of full-time continuing teaching positions for secondary teachers commencing January 2025.
We are seeking dynamic and dedicated educators with expertise in one or more of the following teaching areas: Design and Media, English, Religious Education, and Health and Physical Education (HPE).
Design and Media
Our Design and Media program is designed to inspire creativity and innovation. We are looking for teachers who can guide students through the complexities of visual communication, multimedia projects, and digital technologies. Applicants should be proficient in contemporary design software and possess a keen understanding of media production processes.
English
The English department at St Joseph’s College Coomera aims to develop students' critical thinking, communication skills, and literary appreciation. We seek educators who are passionate about literature, language, and writing, and who can motivate students to express themselves effectively and to engage thoughtfully with diverse texts.
Religious Education
As a faith-based institution, Religious Education is central to our mission. We are looking for teachers who can nurture the spiritual growth of our students, fostering a deep understanding of religious traditions and ethical values. Candidates should have a strong background in theology and be able to create a respectful and reflective classroom atmosphere.
Health and Physical Education (HPE)
Our HPE program promotes physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, and teamwork. We invite applications from teachers who are enthusiastic about sports and physical activities and who can inspire students to lead active and balanced lives. A thorough knowledge of health education and physical training techniques is essential.

About the role - As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will:

About you - To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Design and Media, English, Religion and HPE Teaching. as well as:
- Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
- Commitment to child safety
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven organisational skills
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
- Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.
At BCE our teachers are required to:
- Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
- Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.
