We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle Leader (Head of Senior Years). This is a tier 3+ position. This is a full-time continuing teaching appointment, with an initial three-year appointment as Middle Leader. Two subsequent three-year appointments as Middle Leader will be offered following a successful performance review. The position is released 7 hours per week.
The role of the Head of Senior Years (HoSY) is to support the mission of the college through leadership of transitioning students into secondary school and to lead staff with the concepts of middle schooling concentrating on Years 10 – 12.

This involves leading:
• Learning & Teaching Leaders – Student Engagement, Years 10 - 12
• Learning & Teaching Leaders – Curriculum
• Interacting with students, staff and parents/caregivers in an appropriate manner as well as developing and implementing effective process and practices in keeping with the values, vision and mission of the college and designed to accomplish the desired outcomes of the specific program.

At BCE our teachers are required to:
  • Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

About our school:

Holy Spirit College is a Catholic co-educational secondary school located in the rapidly developing suburb of Fitzgibbon in North Brisbane, approximately 15km from Brisbane City. The College opened in January 2022 with 96 Year 7 students and will increase by one year level each year until it reaches Year 12. We currently have 335 students from years 7-9.

If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.
