About the Role
Secondary schools across Lancashire are seeking reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Teachers to support their staffing needs on a day‑to‑day and short‑term basis. Working through Veritas Education, you'll deliver pre‑planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure continuity for students when their usual teacher is absent.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering pre‑set lessons across a range of subjects and year groups
Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a calm, productive atmosphere
Supporting students with their learning and engagement
Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
Providing feedback to teaching staff after each lesson
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
Strong classroom‑management skills
Confidence delivering lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
A flexible, positive and proactive approach
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
