About the Role

Secondary schools across Lancashire are seeking reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Teachers to support their staffing needs on a day‑to‑day and short‑term basis. Working through Veritas Education, you'll deliver pre‑planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure continuity for students when their usual teacher is absent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering pre‑set lessons across a range of subjects and year groups

  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a calm, productive atmosphere

  • Supporting students with their learning and engagement

  • Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

  • Providing feedback to teaching staff after each lesson

    • What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience

  • Strong classroom‑management skills

  • Confidence delivering lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • A flexible, positive and proactive approach

  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
