The successful applicant will be appointed to the TO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the TO3 once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. About the Role

As a permanent Science Technician at Runcorn State High School, you will play a crucial role in the effective operation of our science department. Key responsibilities include preparing and distributing lab materials, maintaining equipment and safety standards, and assisting with innovative STEM initiatives to enhance student engagement.

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

  • A diploma qualification relevant to the role from a recognised institution.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and chemical handling.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a school or educational environment.
  • Familiarity with STEM program implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers and students.
