About the Role
As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the effective and efficient operation of our science department. Reporting to the Principal or a nominated delegate, you will work independently to provide technical and administrative support to teachers and laboratory staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing, distributing, and setting up scientific materials, equipment, and chemical solutions for practical teaching and laboratory use.
- Maintaining a safe and organised laboratory environment, including waste disposal and equipment calibration.
- Providing quality advice and support to teaching staff on practical work and STEM initiatives.
- Assisting with field trip preparations, inventory management, and budget administration for the science department.
- Networking with external organisations and maintaining laboratory protocols and records.
