About the Role
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher for a full-time, long-term position commencing in September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and well-resourced Science department where students are encouraged to develop curiosity, critical thinking skills, and a passion for scientific discovery. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as part of the wider Science curriculumPlan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculumMonitor and track student attainment and progressCreate a positive and inclusive learning environmentMaintain high expectations for behaviour and achievementContribute to departmental planning and extracurricular activities where appropriateThe Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Has strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculumExperience teaching Science within a secondary school settingDemonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skillsIs committed to raising standards and improving student outcomesHas a strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilitiesECTs are encouraged to applyWhat the School Offers
