About the Role
Canberra Grammar School is seeking an outstanding and passionate Science Teacher to join our dynamic and collaborative Science Faculty.
This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who loves bringing scientific concepts to life and inspiring students to think critically, experiment boldly and engage deeply with the world around them.
Whether investigating the mysteries of the universe, exploring the building blocks of matter or examining the complex systems that sustain life, you will help students develop the knowledge, skills and curiosity needed to thrive in an increasingly scientific and technological world.
The successful candidate will teach Science across Years 7–12 and contribute to a culture of academic excellence, inquiry and innovation. Beyond the classroom, you will have the opportunity to contribute to co-curricular programs, academic enrichment initiatives and the broader life of the School.
About You
You are an engaging and knowledgeable educator who is passionate about helping students discover the excitement and relevance of Science.
You will bring:
- A passion for student learning and holistic development
- Demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching and student engagement
- Strong subject expertise in Science, with Chemistry experience highly regarded
- The ability to inspire curiosity, critical thinking and scientific inquiry
- A commitment to inclusive teaching and supporting students of diverse abilities
- Proven commitment to collaborative professional practice and continuous improvement
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, the Australian Curriculum and International Baccalaureate programmes
- Enthusiasm for contributing to pastoral care, co-curricular activities and the broader School community
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

- A current National Police Check
