Veritas Education is recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join one of our valued secondary schools in Huddersfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner with a passion for Biology, Chemistry, or Physics to make a real impact on student progress and engagement.

About the Role

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring all students are supported, challenged, and motivated. You will work collaboratively with a well-established science department and contribute to the wider school community.

This role is suitable for:

  • Experienced Science Teachers
  • Early Career Teachers looking to complete or continue their induction
  • Teachers seeking a new long-term opportunity in a supportive environment

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Science curriculum
  • Assessing, tracking, and monitoring pupil progress in line with school procedures
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Ensuring behaviour is managed effectively in accordance with school policies
  • Contributing to departmental planning, development, and extracurricular opportunities
  • Upholding safeguarding and compliance responsibilities in line with DfE guidance

    • Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
  • A professional and proactive approach to teaching
  • A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
