Science Teacher - Immediate Start

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Maidstone, Kent from 20th April 2026 through to the end of the academic year.

This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday) and would suit a committed professional who is confident delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Specialists in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics are all welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Teach engaging and differentiated lessons to support learners of all abilities

  • Mark and assess student work in accordance with school policies

  • Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support achievement

  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Uphold safeguarding and behaviour management standards

    • Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential

  • Proven UK experience teaching Science at secondary level

  • Strong subject knowledge in at least one Science specialism

  • Availability to work full-time (5 days per week)

  • Commitment to planning, preparation, and marking
