Chisholm Catholic College seeks to appoint a Laboratory Assistant to join a collaborative team of educators. The successful applicant must be able to provide science program assistance as directed, in addition to the below:
- Manage, prepare, clean and store science equipment and materials with a good understanding of WHS safe work practices and Aspects of Science Management Guidelines
- Identify hazards to maintain safe laboratories, preparation and storage areas. This may require simple maintenance tasks.
- Assist Science Teachers with practical lessons, field work, excursions and other resources when required
- Use science software applications and relevant office software for laboratory administration tasks and WHS compliance
- Apply First Aid if required
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
