St Josephs College Coomera is a Brisbane Catholic Education master planned co-educational College that opened in January 2019. Our first Seniors will graduate in 2024. The College is located in Coomera on the Northern Gold Coast, 40 minutes south of the Brisbane CBD.

We are seeking a welcoming, professional and forward-thinking Student Receptionist to join our college administration team. You will work collaboratively as part of a team in our busy office, serving the needs of students and families at St Joseph's College Coomera.

Typical duties include:

  • Answering phone calls; handling enquiries and reception counter; student, parent and staff liaison; 
  • Direct visitors students and parents in a friendly manner;
  • Handle incoming calls, provide information, and redirect calls as necessary;
  • Sort lost property items;
  • Keep the reception area clean, organised, and presentable at all times;
  • Assist students with questions regarding schedules, school events, and general inquiries.
  • Assist with filing, photocopying, and data entry as needed;
  • Follow up student attendance in accordance with the BCE Policy; 
  • Provide logistical support such as setting up rooms, preparing materials, ordering catering and greeting attendees.
  • Providing first aid assistance to students
  • Additional tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the College.
Skills required:

  • Possess good clerical skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • A high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hold or be prepared to obtain a First Aid Certificate.
  • You MUST hold a valid Working with Children Blue Card.
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.


To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
