About the Role
As the Schools Officer, Grounds, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of Varsity College by maintaining the school's grounds and facilities to a high standard. This role involves a mix of routine and non-routine tasks, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining school grounds, including mowing, weeding, and caring for gardens, trees, and lawns.
- Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, including safe storage and handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Performing general maintenance tasks, such as repairs to fences, gates, and irrigation systems, and maintaining outdoor sporting facilities.
- Coordinating the removal and disposal of rubbish and assisting with ground improvement activities.
- Liaising with internal and external personnel to address maintenance needs and ensure the upkeep of facilities.
This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys hands-on tasks, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
