Your Role:
As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, you will contribute to the efficient operation and maintenance of the college's grounds facilities. While the role is predominantly Grounds focused the successful applicant will work collaboratively with other Schools Officers to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role would suit an organised and proactive individual with a strong work ethic, practical maintenance skills and a passion for maintaining high-quality facilities and a commitment to creating a positive, safe and well-maintained school environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining school grounds, such as mowing and maintaining sports fields and watering, planting, and weeding gardens.
- Preparing and maintaining school facilities, including setting up classrooms and halls for activities and events.
- Assisting with minor cleaning and waste collection duties, ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards.
- Conducting basic maintenance and repairs to school furniture, equipment, and facilities.
- Supporting school events, managing supplies, and maintaining accurate records of school assets.

About You:
- Experience in groundskeeping or facilities maintenance.
- Good understanding of equipment maintenance and repair processes.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently or within a team and follow instructions.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with staff, students, and external personnel.
