This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

Your Role:
- Maintain school ovals, gardens, and grounds including regular mowing, watering, pruning, weeding, appropriate use of insecticides and fertilisers.
- Use, maintain, and service grounds care equipment such as mowers, brush cutters, tractors.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including those which relate to furniture, equipment, locks and windows, gutters/drains, and buildings.
- Ensure compliance with WH&S standards including equipment maintenance and the safe storage and handling of chemicals, fertilisers and fuels.
- Order and/or collect grounds care/cleaning supplies as authorised.
- Prepare, mark and maintain outdoor sporting facilities (e.g. basketball, cricket pitch, track and field areas).
- Assist with asset stocktake, maintenance of the Chemwatch register, furniture distribution, and school banking.
- Carry out security duties such as locking/unlocking buildings and gates; and using school security systems.
- Support school events by preparing activity areas, assembly halls, and sporting facilities, as well as assisting with waste management and cleaning duties where require
