About Pine Rivers State High School:

Pine Rivers State High School caters for students from year 7 to year 12. We undertake a comprehensive enrolment interview process as we like to meet the new student with their parent/caregiver and to check that we can provide the course that best suits the students needs.

Role:

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering and collecting the mail, parcels and documents.
  • Preparing classrooms for exams and preparing activity/assembly halls, including arranging furniture and seating, relocating furniture from room to room.
  • Cleaning and hosing of drains and gutters.
  • Assist with requirements of sporting events.
  • Banking of school funds.
  • Locking and unlocking of buildings.
  • Ensure compliance with WH&S requirements including maintenance of safe work environment.
  • Ability to liaise with various internal and external personnel (tradespersons) on a variety of repair and maintenance issues.
  • Communicate and discuss with Principal/Business Manager on matters regarding periodic maintenance of grounds and facilities.
  • Maintenance of ovals through regular mowing, watering and soil maintenance; lawn and garden maintenance, including regular weeding and the use of appropriate insecticides and fertilisers where necessary.
  • Maintenance of grounds care equipment such as mowers, brush cutters, tractors and arrange regular service.
  • Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Principal, Business Managers or nominated delegate.

This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.
